You guys had what Lowe’s did not. Yes it was further away from where I live but it was worth it. Thank you Southland Hardware! Excellent customer service and sent me to the aisles to get what I needed. They even had firewood! Awesome!

Southland (Do It Best) Hardware on Westheimer is one of my favorite independently owned hardware stores in Houston. I really like their selection of pocket knives. They have a wide range of products for all the building trades. You can buy 1/4 pound of nails without having to buy a whole one pound box. They sell chain by the foot. There is a sharpening service for saws, knives, garden tools, scissors, etc. Prices are reasonable. You can walk into the store and find what you need in a few minutes without having to walk a mile. Store associates are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

I grew up in the neighborhood (attended Lanier and Lamar) and continue to live in the neighborhood. Southland is a cornerstone of our community. They provide service, advice, and products with respect, courtesy, and at a fair price. They pretty much always have what you need. In my case, each time I visit, I leave with something I do NOT need, but certainly want! Unlike how I would feel if she were to go to go try to shop at a box store, I feel safe and comfortable having my 87-year-old mother go shopping at Southland. Super friendly and well stocked local hardware store. Very helpful with simple lumber cuts and finding what we needed for a small home project. Lots of parking in the back too!

Awesome and huge hardware store. The inside is way bigger than I expected! I needed to find a very specific part and the employee I asked knew exactly what I needed and showed me immediately where it was stocked. Great experience! I recommend checking out this local hardware store.

always a pleasure coming here and getting expert advice on home tasks that I'm not always familiar with. helping a neighbor reccaulk a window and noticed this rather wide gap. caulk is kinda expensive, so this foam noodle helps fill the gap and save Some dollars.

This is the best hardware store on the planet! I love this place! It has a family old-school vibe with a great selection and reasonable prices. They seem to have everything! Best part is that it’s NOT a big box chain store. The workers are super friendly and always available to help you find what you are looking for. I urge you to checkout Southland for your hardware , home supplies and gardening needs.
